These 2 folks SunnySurya and Rolling_flood attacked me with RED points because i said the truth on the other thread of "Lawsuit for Porting/Interfiling". Though i least care if someone anonymous gives me Red points but i'm worried about them.....

Guys,
We rode the same wave even last year with many of the same Guru;s predicting the same movement to 2007 and what we saw 2 weeks movement . There was one person called QSHEMK who after that went completely out of the picture or has rejoined with a new name .
Also I have analyzed that people who have a date in 2008 somehow predict that the dates might move to 2008 and people who have a PD of July predict that dates will move to August . This is just an observation and nothing more , and if you go through the threads thats exactly what you will see.
I will be equally benefited as you all will if the predictions come true , but be well prepared for a major heartbreak also like last year .
While it takes a lot of effort from some of the members to crunch such numbers I would be first to extend my sincere gratitude to them for doing this , I would also recommend you all to take the analysis and predictions with a grain of salt and not to raise your hopes too much on these predictions.

Can someone please post the steps to open an SR and get an Infopass? I may have a biometrics appointment coming up soon. Can they help with application status questions?

Biometrics has no questions to answer. Just follow their instructions at the center.
To create SR,
Call the toll free number and select some options for you to reach a live representative.
Tell them that you are waiting for a very long time and needs update.
You need to have your receipt notice with you. And your wife too (matters only if you are married, just for the sake of it, do not bring in anyone else's wife...just kidding)
If your wife is not with you, they will create the SR for her. Hence suggested. Take down the name of Rep and the confirmation number.
That's it.

I am in EB3 and I have no intention to port my PD to EB2.I strongly believe we are in the last fag of the problem.
Why do you want to spoil others chances?- Are you scared or what?
This shows another example why we are not united.
If DOL had only cleared those poor old needed filers without opening a backlog ,EB3 woudn't have become a laughing stock by you fellows.There was not much big difference between EB2 and EB3 earlier years before.
That was the reason most of us agreed when we filed under EB3.
If they hadnt wasted the visas -EB3 and EB2 should have diff of 2 years only.
Thats the reason why EB3 is mad now.
Whatever - People supporting this cause are mere selfish.
If the EB3 guy wants to port to EB2 whats yr problem -

I was pleasantly surprised, although looking back at it, this was going to happen. The Indian media would have immediately tried to cash in on the news and interview the people associated with the movie.
Nevertheless, this is good news, and I wonder if we should try to capitalize on it. How?
If IV can get "IV merchandise" (T shirts, caps, etc) signed by a Boman Irani or a Rajkumar Hirani (and perhaps also embossed with a standard message that we all included with the flowers), and put it up for sale (on ebay etc), it might help to
1. spread the word on this issue
2. raise money for IV!
What do you think? Is this feasible? If it is, we should go for it as nothing matches Bollywood when it comes to spreading a message.

I wanted to put down the various steps I undertook or have happened since my PD got current in hopes that it might help anybody...
PD: Nov 2005 EB2 @ NSC got current in August.
We were in India when my wife got a FP notice in July. Missed it completely but was lucky that the lawyer realized we were on vacation and requested a postponement of FP appointment.
The original FP appointment notice was for July 7th and we never received a second appointment notice until Aug 20th.
In the meanwhileI travelled back to USA and opened SRs, Infopass and sent emails to NSC, Opended an Ombudsman inquiry, contacted senators separately for myself and for my wife. I got GC approval on August 10th.
My wife had her FP taken on Sept 3rd and today we received CPO email for her too. Good luck to all who are waiting and I suggest do everything you can like SRs, emails, contacting senators, ombudsman inquiry, infopass appts. Not sure what worked.
My Main conern was that my AOS (principal applicant) would be stalled because my spouse (dependent) had expired FPs and we missed an appointment. Apparently this turned out not to be the case.

I have similar experience. I moved to sunrocket (which is now teleblend) from vonage. I pay half of what I used to pay vonage for same services/usage.
currently teleblend offers $50 unlimited india calling + ofcourse US+canada unlimited. However as now vonage has come up with $25 world plan, I am sure teleblend would come up with something similar soon... may be $20 world plan or so. As they always price it below vonage. Let's hope! competition is good for consumer.
I also had Teleblend world...but I removed the unlimited world as it was $35. Lets see they might come up with something like this.

IV members have saved you a lot of money on attorney phone calls, getting answers to medical test questions and other general questions. Please contribute to IV so that we can keep this effort going. While everybody is busy collecting documents and paperwork for 485, core IV again is doing there personal paperwork and + lobbying.
Please contribute, especially if you are new and never contributed. Please do not be a freeloader and get your questions answered and run away.
I hope people who posted on this thread and those whose question got answered consider contributing to IV. This was an important question confronting lot of people and lawyers were giving different and vague answers. All the information was researched and given to our members. Everyone was spending hundreds of dollars each asking lawyers this question. Contributing is a way to express your support for the community.

My H1 revalidation appointment was on the 12-Dec. Visa was approved immediatly but haven't received the passport yet. I receive the same response when I call.. that its under PIMS verification. No ETA of when I can expect it to be done..
I had a H1 transfer to a new employer and 3 year extension happen at the same time. I am not sure what the problem is and what I can do. I am totally stressed out and really depressed ..

Can state chapter leaders please send an email to members to inform about latest scheduling of HR5882 and ask them to call the appropriate congress members.
Not all IV members visit the site regularly and it seems most members are under the impression that HR5882 is post-poned indefinitely. I did receive an alert email two weeks ago when 5882 was being considered first time (and it was helpful - thanks MA chapter) - it would be effective to send another short one now. Thanks.

What the f@#k is your problem, are you paranoid that you are going to loose your job real soon, why do you need a GC sooner, how is it going to change your sorry life. Multiple 485 and EAD filing

My wife and I both got our LC approved. She filed I-140 and I-485 concurrently for both of us in Nov.2006 (Nebraska Center), based on her LC. Then I filed I-140 and I-485 concurrently for both of us again in Jan,2007 (Texas Center), based on my LC.
The EADs she applied got aproved pretty quickly. Several days ago, my EAD applications got denied. The denial reason is, we already have approved EAD.
Originally our plan is: My wife will switch to a Finance related job soon (her LC is based on Software job), I will wait for GC. (The reason we still filed for multiple 485 and EAD is that we want to postpone the decision on who should wait for GC). Now I'm totally confused on whether she can use the EAD, and whether I can renew the approved EAD (because they are based on her application).
Any inputs or clarifications will be greatly appreciated.
