picked up a rebel a few months ago, but just got around to using it recently.
anyhow, click this one the other day..
I don't recall the exact settings off hand, but the lense is a cheap canon
75-300mm I picked up for $200 bucks. I believe it was shot at F5.6@ 300mm
with a 1/40 shutter on a tripod.

Hey amitga,did ur mail reached USCIS on 30th June 2007???My lawye3r called and told me that,He mailed our AOS application on 29th june2007 and reached USCIS nebraska on 30th june 20007.Is anyone here who's application was delivered on 30th june 2007(saturday) a nonworking day??Just want to confirm if my lawyer told me the truth??

Agree, too much blue sky. This would be better with early or late light since midday sun doesn't do the clouds justice. Maybe a little more foreground foliage would help too. I'm not sure since I'm not much of a landscape photographer, but I am working on it, and those are some things I'm trying. :)

Dallas-Fort Worth Immigration Lawyer Has Just Posted the Following:
Effective January 4, 2010, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Center for Disease Control and Prevention (HHS/CDC) is removing HIV from the list of communicable diseases of public health significance and references to HIV from the scope of medical examinations for foreign nationals.
Until the rule goes into effect, non-citizens who are HIV-positive cannot be admitted into the U.S. unless the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) grants a waiver. Once the rule goes into effect on January 4, 2010, HIV infection will no longer be defined as a communicable disease of public health significance, immigrant visa applicants who are required to undergo a medical screening exam will no longer be tested for HIV, a waiver for entry into the U.S. will no longer be necessary, and HIV-positive visa applicants will not be found ineligible for visas under Section 212(a)(1)(A)(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). Although foreign nationals with HIV who apply for visas will no longer be ineligible under INA Section 212(a)(1)(A)(i), they still must overcome the public charge under INA Section 212(a)(4) by demonstrating to the consular officers that they will have the means of support in the U.S. and that they will not need to seek public financial assistance. Last October I hired a lawyer for an AOS ( I-485 ) and the I-130 and I-131 forms.
Obviously I did it because I did not have any knowledge about immigration matters.
In Novembre 2007 he did contact me telling me I needed the I-765 form to legally work in the country, so I did fill the form sending it in his office by mail.
He told me he sent the form in the first week of December 2007.
Ok now this is the situation :
I never get by mail the notice of action about the form I-765 and what concern me the most is that I still did not get the permit to work.
I periodically check the processing time cases from the USCIS' website, and I have seen that USCIS (NEW YORK area ) already processed the I-765 forms for the complete month of December, does anyone know if Uscis is having problem processing EADs....I am really worried that something did not go through... probably it's just normal to have so many questions but recently I think about that all the time.
Oh guys one more thing...I paid this lawyer thousand and thousand of dollars.
I realized reading the USCIS website that if you fill the form I-485 you are not required to pay the $ 340 fee for the I-765 form . Last November he asked me to send him a check for the EAD fee. When I told him that last time i spoke with him by phone he said he did know that , then he told me that he just had moved from his old office to a new one so my case was in storage, in storage ?? My case is still pending and he put it in storage, i am so disappointed ...unbelievable this lack of professionality.
I should have do it by myself at least now I would have money to buy a nice used car.

Just wanted to find out if you were aware if it makes any difference as to where you get your receipt from-- with respect to making an appointment(location).
What I mean is, would it be OK to get receipt from a HDFC branch in Mumbai, if you were going to make an appointment with New Delhi Embassy ?
Any experiences..?

It is common to all consulates and Embassy, it can be used anywhere, it will be drawn in favour of US Embassy, New Delhi. HDFC bank will issue you what they have to give, so don't worry.

My Case Details:
I currently have an H1 and have applied for 485(in July 2007, EB3 India, priority date April 2004, I-140 Approved, EAD approved). My wife also applied 485 (as beneficiary dependent) along with me and is currently working on EAD. Unfortunately my daughter was not in the country in July 2007 and due to unavoidable reasons she was not able to apply for 485 then. She came to US on H4 dependent visa and is currently studying in public school.
My H1B visa and my daughters H4 visa expires in Sept, 2010. I want to use my EAD incase if my H1B extension is not approved in Sept, 2010 and am trying to find out if there were other legal ways for me to have my daughter documented in US.
One of the option I was considering is try to get a F1 Student visa for her. My Daughter is in 10th grade currently (15 years old).
Please advice:
- What would be the best independent status for my daughter ?
- if My daughter converts to a student visa (F1), and some time later EB3 category becomes current for my priority date, then can 485 be applied for my daughter while she is in F1 status ? IN other words are there any issues of her being in non-immigrant intent F1 visa and me applying for 485 for her as my dependent ?
- Is there any limit on the number of years a person can be on F1 Visa in US ? She is currently in 10th grade and might join 11th Grade in F1 visa.
- Does she need to go out of US to change her status from H4 to F1 ?
- In case if required can I convert my EAD status back to H1B ?

Do we get a notice to get biometrics done when you apply for EAD renewal?
My wife and I have a EAD renewal RD of June 23, 2008 at NSC. We have not gotten any LUD after that. Anybody knows how long it takes to get the EAD?

Usually u shld get ur FP notice within 3 weeks.

First time I applied Labor Certification (LC) in 2004(pending, not approved or denied) and second time I applied on PERM without porting the first Labor application date with same company, same catagory(EB3) and same job description which approved with PD Feb 2006. I applied 485 on july last year when all PD were current.
Question: Can I port my PD from the first Labor application date now.

It appears there is a good allocation of 9.2billion dollars for Healthcare IT in the stimulus. Does it provide impetus for this field?
